airbrushing in an entertaining and informative nature as well as provide
an ever-developing environment for the cultivation and proliferation
of the airbrush industry.

Lidt
historie om airbrushen...
Airbrushen er ikke en ny opfindelse, der er fundet hulemalerier malet
af homo sapiens for over 10.000 år siden, hvor de pustede rød
okker over deres egen hånd. Opfinderen var Charles Burdick der
i 1893 byggede den første egentlige airbrush som vi kender den
i dag. Dengang blev den hovedsaligt brugt til retouchering og farvelægning
af sort/hvid fotos.
Tilbage
i 60érne var den meget populær i reklame branchen, og mange
tegnere lavede de ligeså berømte pinups. Senere i 70érne
var den meget anvendt hos kunstnere der malede photorealisme. De blev
ikke værdsat for deres kunst, folk/kritikere kunne ikke forstå
pointen i at male et foto, istedet for at tage et billede med et kamera.
Her havde de muligheden for at lave de første foto tricks, ved
at kombinere foto og airbrush ophævede de tyngdekraften, tilføjede
surrealistiske elementer, lavede kvindelige cyborgs og det lignede et
rigtigt foto!
Alle
disse tricks bliver i dag erstattet af PCéren som totalt overgår
de fotoeffekter man kan lave med en simpel airbrush.
